Semi-automatic Track Warning Systems (SATWS)

Railway worksites are frequently located on or near to the track on which trains continue to run. It is essential, therefore, that people working on the site be warned when a train approaches so that they can leave the danger area. This can be achieved either through an automatic track warning system (ATWS) or alternatively, by a lookout-operated warning system (SATWS).

Collaborating with The Central Rail Systems, Alliance, Balfour Beatty and Network Rail, GrayBar have developed a comprehensive and sustainable range of GRP Trackside Enclosures Solutions and accessories, to enable the safe and efficient installation of the SATWS System.

The GRP Control Unit is Lightweight and requires no Earth Bonding, unlike its Steel Counterpart, and can have up to four Modules installed.

The GRP Trackside Disconnection Box is supplied complete with a GRP Mounting Assembly, which again requires no Earth Bonding.
